I am not aware of any state that requires tagging squirrels. Check with your state wildlife department as to license requirements to be sure. Most states I have been in do not require a hunting license for hunters under 16. Check with your state authorities. If you don't know how to find it, google "hunting in your state"

It depends on where you live, I know you will have to have your hunting/fishing liscence if you are over 16 to keep from getting in trouble with a game warden.

Depending on where you live there may be a season. In maine there is a season for grey squirrels but red squirrels there is no season. But you do need a hunting license to hunt.

Most states have a good D.E.C. website, I would check that first. Typically they have it posted on the site, if not they have their contact information listed and you can get it that way. For NY there is a fall season and you need a small game license.

In PA which is my state all you need is a hunting licence or a mentored youth season which we do have but no special tags or stamps.

It depends on what state you live in but I'm pretty sure most states require a license. I haven't heard of anywhere where you need a tag for a squirrel.

You will need to check your local laws. Most places consider squirrels to be small game and so you will need to license accordingly. I do not know of any place where you would need a squirrel stamp or endorsement.

Additionally, if you are a land owner and you have nuisance animals you can also generally take care of them at your discretion.
