I need help with Pennsylvania coyotes. Should I focus on farm land, or big woods dogs? Which would be better for me to go after? Also, when are the best times of year to hunt coyotes?

I have always had better luck hunting the field dogs,and as you know intersections and metal pipes will congregate these animals.I have stopped up one end of a flue pipe and built a small fire and practiced my quick response shooting.They are easier to see but hesitatant to enter a field straight on a lot of times they will circle to catch a ditch coming in downwind.Have good optics and use them,these things are slicker than a greased doorknob.

Walk the ditches and find where they are denning,it will more than likely a pipe or a burrow in the ditch bank.setup with the wind in your face a good distance from the den and start calling.It should be a fruitfull hunt.

Yotes are mating now. Try a howler if the rabbit distress doesn't work. I always hunt the fields and try to pull the out of the woods with calls. y hunting hours are from midnight to 4am.

February is when their all out mating. Thats when they cover alot of ground.
