    If you still have the head intact you could brain tan it. There should be a bunch of places online to tell you how to do it. If you don't have the critter's brains, look up online on tanning hides.

    Years ago Tandy leather company sold the stuff to tan hides, I don;t know if they still sell it or not. I have a hair on deer hide hanging on the wall in my study that I have had for, oh, at least 20 years, maybe more. I got the stuff from Tandy leather company.

      To keep the hair on a hide you have to set the hair foicles in the hide. The easyest way to do this is by salting the hide in non- iodized salt.
