  • What's up guys?

Currently stuck inside with the flu. Took the rest of the week off work, so figured I'd check in. Bummer that Natalie's update was the first thing I saw.

Stay in bed and keep your body rested so it can fight off that bug.
It's killing a lot of people this year, young and old.
      Get well soon.

There is another virus besides the H3N3 going around, the Adeno virus. Not usually bad but when combined with someone who has the H3N3 it really
        makes things worse.
        Stay hydrated and rest. Jim

Last time I took one of those flu shots (fall, 1992), the wife and I got so sick, we were afraid we were going to die and scared we couldn't!
          I'll never take another one!
          ..not willingly anyway!
          Nasty stuff!
          Take care of yourself!

Flu vaccine is a attenuated virus, that means dead, that stimulates your immune system. Your experience could have been a concidence. As a senior it is advised for you to get your immune system going in high gear, otherwise, IF you actually get the flu it takes your system several weeks to gear up. In that amount of time it could be too late.

              I'll take my chances jimbo.
When "season" kicks in, I take precautions to stay away from and out of big crowds and avoid coughers and sneezers.
              Fool proof? Not hardly!
They reported that the vaccine was only 10% effective.
              New this morning, jimbo.
The current vaccine is only 20% effective against the killer strain.

6P have you continued getting the yearly flu shot? Has that helped you stay in the woods?
