      I've asked several times too. A message is always posted saying he'll be back but no reason given. I don't know that I have seen his column recently in the magazine either.

        The pace here is a little bit less than frantic, but it may be that a lot of folks are out fishing or on vacation. I know it heats up in the fall when everybody gets the fever to be out in the woods. I'm not going to lose a lot of sleep over where Spies is---I'm sure he can take care of himself.
