Coyote howlers, pileated woodpecker calls and hawk calls are all legitimate shock gobble elicitors. Yelping loudly on a tube call works well, too. I've heard them gobble at factory whistles, police sirens, bellowing cows, braying jackasses and tugboat whistles, but not on such a reliable basis that I'd want to try to carry any of them with me.
