    YES that is a very good observation for the squirrels feeding unless its a hickory nut tree. I believe a good lonely persimmon tree is the best thing. Down here in GA. thats what i'm trying to do. IT'S HARD TO FIND ONE THATS LOADED DOWN IN A PLACE WITH COVER THOUGH. BUT IF YOU DO THAT I BELIEVE IS THE BEST OR A WHITE OAK THATS LOADED DOWN WITH FRESH AND OLD DEER DROPPINGS UNDER IT.

    where i live in S.C. persimmons are a great area to put a stand. Depending on the hunting pressure might be a factor on mid day visits.
