What is a good crossbow for a cheap price

With little to go on, other than your moniker "yungdeerslayer", let me say, none of 'em are cheap, and you get what you pay for. That said, I'd start with used, then have it gone over by the maker, or if you have a local shop that's capable. If you can make a trade show, do so, that's excess to all types and models. The people at Barnett, are making a big push toward affordability and youth. Try contacting a Ms. Allen, @ Barnett's, tell her I sent you, they are super there. -
well is aint for me my dad is lookin for one i already have a matthews switchback but he said he would pay around 250$ range

I use a Horton crossbow and it works great. But now there are so many on the market you would have to see what kind you like
