    Excalibur
They make recurve crossbows which are quieter, faster, easier to cock, no pulleys or cables to get out of adjustment plus they are designed and built by hunters. Real hunters.

No one who uses a crossbow is a real bowhunter.....

BowHuntingIsMyLife, your tender years give yourself away. Be careful what you say when you make such statements. I am unable to pull a bow the way that I once did (I had a stroke in 1994) I have been hunting for more than 50 years and I probably could keep going when you are ready to quit because it is too hard.
Such pronouncements do nothing to help the sport of hunting; instead they serve to divide us. That division is what the anti's want. By your very words, you may find out that you have helped stop the thing that you love, but by then it will be too late.
There is no place for exclusivity or elitism in the sport of hunting. You can choose the way that you hunt, but there is no need for you to speak against other legal forms of hunting. You demonstrate how much that you need to learn when you say things like that; either that, or you are saying that you have an unteachable and closed heart. The latter is far more unfortunate.

To properly answer your question before the Anti Hunters start in on the crosbow, have a look at the new Scorpyd by Jim Kemph it is the fastest unless you want the upper on your AR-15 changed into a crossbow. Mine is a Horton and I love it. Have a look at Horizontal Bowhunter and Crossbow Connection Magazine and enjoy your crossbow.

Excalibur has a great line of easy to string, recurve, very accurate crossbows.
