  • Sold one, bought one

Sold a Winchester '94 30-30, early 1970's model for $425. Could have gotten more as buyer did not hesitate a second. Bought a Marlin 1895M, .450Marlin for $600. Where is a good site to find mfg. date. ? Serial no. 940010XX made in Connecticut.

Your Marlin was made in 2006 Make sure it has a (jm) Barrel stamp, Not a (RP).

It does, it was made in Conn.
I had one of these before and liked it - sold it to Nephew. I have dies for it so will reload when I get some hornady tipped 365gr bullets. BTW, the .450 is about 300fps faster than the 45/70 so the trajectory is a little flatter. 45.70 operates at about 18,000psi, .450 operates at 36,000psi. Excellent for anything, including dinosaurs .
