Which scorebook do you score your animals by? I can appreciate Pope and Young and Boone and Crockett, however I cannot locate where SCI has deductions for trophy imperfections. Do we give the animal credit for every inch or divide the class in to groups based on symmetrics and imperfections?

Down here in Florida we use the Betty Crocker scale critters that you get more good meals out of score the highest.Recently got a six point that served 10 delicious meals for four, or ten heaping servings on the Betty Crocker scale.

I always use Boone & Crockett, no particular reason for it, just do. I always just take the gross score too, as the great Barry Wetzel says, "nets are for fish"!

I'm a fan of the maine woods deer camp method, anytime you see someone with a deer in the bed or hanging the response is always "that's a nice deer", and that's all i need to hear.

I prefer not scoring my deer =]...but I have heard there are a TON of methods for scoring deer, some of which are probably local to you.

B=C score is usually what most people refer to,gives you an idea of the size when you know it;s gross score, final score is your net score, but shouldn't take away from the character some racks exhibit.
