This fall, my father-in-law and I will be doing a Moose hunt in North Idaho near the Canadian Border. I am use to hunting high mountain Mule Deer. What are the gear and clothing changes I should make for this hunt?

In Northern Idaho, you should always expect and prepare for snow. Also, the dew is much heavier there than in the mountains lower in the state. I wear gators and lots of layers to take off as the temp spikes into the high 70s in the afternoon in September. In October and later, bring tire chains to get you home. If you find some really nicely maintained roads, you've probably crossed into Canada. Turn around!
