Is it legal to hunt polar bears? My relative and i got in a huge fight over this because in the Predator Hunters gallery (home hunting page) there is the picture of a man that had taken a polar bear.

You have to jump through a lot of hoops, but it is possible to legally kill a polar bear. I think. I know that was true in the past. I remember that opportunities are limited and expensive from what I read.

Just Google "polar bear hunting". I should have done that before I replied. There are guides offering polar bear hunts.

You can hunt polar bears leagaly but Nunavut only has 35 tads a year!

Polar bear numbers are high enough to support hunting. U.S. citizens can hunt them, it gets dicey bringing your trophy back in country due to CITES treaty.

They're generally really expensive hunts, but you can legally hunt them. Problem is, you can no longer import the pelts/trophies back to the United States after the hunt. U.S. Fish and Wildlife classified the bears as endangered a few years ago. So, whether a photo is portraying something illegal or not would depend on where and when the photo was taken.
