I am going on a guided elk trip next fall for the first time. I was wondering what the usual tip for the guide, cook, and anybody else that I need to tip would be?

Remember, a tip is not a reflection of a successful hunt, meaning you killed something. You should tip regardless of your success. As long as the guide is working hard for you, the wrangler is taking care of the stock and the cook makes sure you are gaining weight, you should provide a tip. I generally give the guide $200, the cook $100 and the wrangler $75. That seems fair. I wouldn't base it on a percentage of the hunt cost as that is not a reflection of the service received.
