I am very close to purchasing my first shotgun. I have narrowed it down to two. The benelli supernova and the Remington 11-87. I will be using it mostly for shooting clay and turkey hunting. Which one would you guys recommend or is there another gun that is better for around the same price? Thanks everyone

In my opinion, the Remington is ten times better.

My Remington 1100 has been faithfully afield with me for 31 years working flawlessly on all game.
You won't go wrong with the 1187.

They are both good firearms. handle them both and choose the one that fits you the best.

I would go with the 11-87. Nobody i know has ever complained about a remington shotgun, be it a 870, 1100, or 11-87.

I would go with the 11-87, my sister has a Benelli Super Black Eagle, which is supposed to be a top-of-the-line gun, but she's had nothing but trouble with it, even when it was brand new. I have the old reliable 870(about a thousand dollars less that the Black Eagle), and I've never had any trouble with it as long as I don't get lazy and let the action get too full of crud. So as far as I'm concerned Benelli's are over-priced pieces of crap.
