The AccuTrigger can be adjusted for weight of trigger pull by the user of the rifle.

the accutrigger also makes shooting alot easier by eliminating jerk it is a 2 stage trigger and makes the second stge a hair trigger

The accutrigger allows you to take a more steady shot without jumping the trigger. The second stage is not necessarily a hair trigger as it can be adjusted to your desired pull. But the idea behind it is that by putting pressure on the first part of the accutrigger you can keep easing pressure on it until you trip the main part of the trigger and "surprise" yourself witht he shot, thus eliminating the tendency to rush and jump the shot.

The Accutrigger is NOT a two stage trigger AT ALL. The Accutrigger IS a single stage, with pull weight user adjustable trigger, it is better than the non-accutrigger Savage trigger, and you should get it it if the price is close. Visit Savage on the web for detail of the mechanics, but it is not a two stage trigger, it is the first of the current generation of outstanding triggers that most major brands have come out with in recent yers (XMark Pro, MOA by Winchester among them). Good luck
