Great topic. I have an 11 year old girl myself. She loves shooting a .22 and a .17 caliber. When it was time to step it up she was nervous, but comfortable with shooting. I have the Rem.700 synthetic 30-06. The gun is light enough for her to shoulder. With the reduced loads and some sticks, she's having a blast!
