I'm a first time hunter not a first time shooter looking to purchase my first rifle. I'll be hunting in Western Oregon for Elk thinking about picking up the Tikka T3 Hunter in a wood stock not partial to SYN's. Wondering if anyone has a better suggestion on which rifle to purchase and what caliber has adequate stopping power. From local hunters sounds like i'll be firing from an average of 200 yds. Any input is appreciated.
