What kind of gun did William "Buffalo Bill Cody" Shoot?

  • #2
His gun of choice would just about have to be a single action .45 revolver. With the popularity and pure domination of the Colt in his time, odds are it was a Colt single action. Colt Peacemaker being a pretty good possibility as well because it was U.S. Army Issue and Buffalo Bill was in the Calvary for a few years. I'd be willing to bet there's more than a few replica's on the market tagged to his name.

you can go to bbhc.org (Buffalo Bill Historic Center) Then click the "cody Firearm Museum" Link on the left. It should have all the information you want. Good Luck!
