    Hello. I just joined today.The site looks great. I have lots to look at . My ? is , I bought a used S/W Model 1500 mountian rifle in 30/06. Its a great shooting rifle. The thing is I dont know much about it. Any comments? Thanks for having me .

    S & W has always made pretty good weapons and the .30-06 is a great all around cartrage. Sorry, but what is your question?

        just want to say thank you Bo for the web site. The gun is almost a tack driver at 100 yrds. I just didnt know the history of the gun .

          I love the 3o-o6 caliber. So did another out doors man & one of the greatest shooters that walked this rock of ours. This great mans name is Carlos Hathcock also knowen as White Feather. I once seen where he had a confirmed kill at 1,000 yard with 30-06 with a mounted 4x scope. Might not of been the same model as yours but when I hear 3o-o6 his name comes to mind. There is a ton of websites with this American hero on it. This is some history of 3o-o6 because this man took his same 3o-o6 that he used for hunting into battle most the time and came back the victor evreytime!
