I am considering the Ruger Mini-30 and watched Hickock-45 do a review of it. The rifle did not like cheap Tula and Wolf ammo - FTF. With other brass case it functioned fine. He really likes it. I have a lot of military surplus ammo to shoot and hope is functions well in a Mini-30. If not, I will shoot it in my SKS's. Man can that guy shoot.

The "drawback", if there is one, to the 7.62×39, is that due to the shape of the cartridge, the magazine has to be curved.
The 7.62×39 is basically a "semi auto .30-30" with lots of mil-surp ammo available.

Outlaw, maybe look at an AR in something besides a 5.56/.223.

There are some AR calibers out there that are much more exciting than that.

Yes, but not because the liberals are coming but because you never can have enough, freedom is not free and gun's keep the government in check. We would be like England and Australia not armed and helpless.

I was mildly interested n the Remington Model 81 Woodsmaster Autoloading rifle in .35 Remington when I first took up hunting, but the price was too high.
Then while serving in the army, I developed a distrust for semi-automatic rifles.
I agreed when I heard that John Dillinger said he didn't trust dames or automatics.
    Sound of Pighunter being ignored.

Best reason I know to own one. Remember Doc Holiday? "Never put off until tomorrow the liberal you can piss off today!"

I'd really like to see an AR10 in .270 Redding. (.243 Win blown out or .308 Win necked down)
