I am wondering if a .45-70 round will cycle and fire through a .45-90 lever action? Thanks!

First off, I agree with huntfishtrap that you should not try it. One small mistake and you will regret it.
-It is possible to shoot .45-70 out of a .45-90(not sure about cycling though), but it will require a certain type of load and you will most likely lose some accuracy...

@huntfishtrap,
I know it sounds bad, but I am positive that it can be done. You will probably lose accuracy, but it should not damage the barrel. I recall hearing about someone doing this because the .45-90 round was hard to come by/used black powder.
-Being able to doesn't necessarily mean that you should do it though haha...If I had a .45-90 the only bullet I would fire out of it is a .45-90.
