Question for all types of firearm shooters. We were discussing it at work as to what part of your finger you press different types of firearm triggers. Such as I use my finger pad to press rifles and semi-auto pistols however for revolvers I use my first finger joint because I seem to pull more smoothly. One of the military guys says he uses the pad of his finger for rifles, another uses the joint. I was taught that using the joint on light triggers can pull the shot since your finger isn't pulling straight back; therefore, what do you guys do for different types of guns? Thanks!!

-I believe the only time I ever use the joint is when it is cold and I have a thick glove on.
-I'm not sure, but I may use my joint when taking quick follow up shots with the shotgun/rifle.

I always use the pad of my finger, no matter the type of firearm I am shooting.

I may be in the minority here, but I use the first joint for all shooting, rifles, handguns, shotguns, etc. May not be "textbook form", but I shoot just fine that way.
