I do not have a scope on any of my shotguns or my favorite gun, my T/C Traditions Flintlock Hawken .50 cal.

I don't use a scope on my T/C Hawken either. And my 870 slug guns doesn't wear a scope.

I only recently went to a 1.5-4 power scope on my 870. I'm still not in love with the set-up but I can't complain about the results. My old reliable 1100 will never have a scope mounted to it. No scopes on my pistols either....

I still use iron sights on my flint lock and most of my pistols and my shot guns. The only pistols

My Marlin 1894C in .357 Magnum and Marlin 336SC in 35 Remington are still Iron Sights.

I use iron sights on my 35 rem. great brush gun, so much easier finding the game when it is close than with a scope.

I use a remmington pump 30,06 w/ open sights this allows for faster target pick up , my sights never fog up,less likely to change bullet placement if bumped around.,although my range maybe a bit restrictive most shots taken are under 100yards anyway/so thats an ez tradeoff.
