I am going to buy a henry big boy rifle and was wondering if I should go with the .44 mag or th .45 colt? I live in Texas and will be using it for hogs and deer.

For a hunting rifle I would give the nod to the .44 Mag. There is such an abundance of wonderful ammo out there to choose from that you can't go wrong. The .45 LC will also do the job, but for versatility you just can't beat what the .44 Magnum has to offer.

By the way, we tested that Golden Boy when it first came out a few years back and we all really loved the rifle. Great choice.

I am a big fan of the .44. I will second John Snow.

I would also choose the 44 mag. It gives you many more options with the step up in power.
