im am buying my first rifle. Im still decideing on the caliber. Either a .30-06 or .308. Im chosing my gun between a Savage Axis, Model 111FXP3, and 111FXP3. the 111FCXP3 isnt in .308 just 30-06 and is $525.00. the 111FXP3 is also only in .30-06 but has a accutirgger and is $678.00. Which one should i get??

I don't own any of the models you listed, but I do have a Mod. 11 in 7mm-08 and like it very much since I finally figured out a load that it will shoot accurately. I would advise you to get the accutrigger by all means. Pick a model that id heavy enough to keep the recoil at a reasonable level. Savage has a fine reputation and I don't think you'll go wrong.

I don't think you can go wrong with either caliber actually. The Accutrigger will defintely improve your accuracy. I've got a Savage F116 with the Accutrigger and Accustock and it shoots very well.

Go on line at Savage's website and they explain what it does. It's a bedding system. Then google accustock and read some reviews. I've had good success with mine. I think their are others that have not so you can decide for yourself.

yah im 13 and i dont really think i need a accu triger or stock so I'll probably just save money and go with the regualar triger.
