I recently purchased a Bushnell Banner BDC 3x9x40 scope. Does anyone have any experience with this scope. How do you tell which yardage cylinder you have in the turret? I have it mounted on a Browning 308 Lever action. Haven't shot it yet. Planning on using Remington 180gr cartridges. Any info or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Lyle, you did not say whether this is a new banner, or a much older one. the bdc system has been around a couple decades, with some changes to the dials.
to determine the dial you have in the scope, turn it slowly until a single letter, or a single letter and number appear in the window ("D", or "1C", for example).
That will be the dial that is installed. Original Banner and Scopechief models with the BDC had four dials. The new models with bdc have, i believe, either 11 or 6 dials, depending on which you have. so, it is important to know which scope you have.
The chart and instructions are available on bushnells website. btw, the Rem. .308 180 Gr. load is a "C" dial.
