i'm getting ready to go elk hunting this season, (later this year)in northern az.I wandering what people thought about using a savage 7mm magnum with the accu-trigger? i'll be using the Barnes 160 gr tsx bt round.

That should work well. 7mm is a great cartridge but I might go a little lighter on the bullet if you are using Barnes bullets.

I wouldn't go any lighter than a 160 for Elk. 7mm is a good round for Elk.
