I have a newer winchester model 70 7mm. Its too much rife and expensive to shoot. I want to make a trade at a local gun shop and want a .270 or a .308 They have a Tikka m595 in new condition, but I know nothing about this manufacturer. should I be looking at other Manufacturers?

old salts, it was a 7mm Rem Mag. I made a trade for a new Savage 110 .270.
I used to have a 300 WSM that was a savage 110. It was a heck of a rifle that was extremely accurate but again punishing. I guess when your young you just don't learn.
Thanks for your thoughts, just went after something I was more familiar with and heard the M595 is just over 9 lbs which gets old carrying all day
