I have a S&W; M&P; 40c. I read that you could just switch the barrels and have a .357 SIG and also the same with 9mm plus new mags. The mags I have says 40 and .357 sig on them so I know they will work. My question is, Is it a drop in conversion or do I have to modify something? Will the pressures be ok with the factory springs? Don't have extra funds for a new pistol but can swing the barrel, very appealing to me.

Yes you can just switch barrels. I have a Sig .40 and an extra barrel for .357 SIG all I have to do to shoot the .357 is switch barrels and load the clip with the right ammo. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. I'll do that then. I almost bought the .357 instead of the 40, now I can have both
