    i have a 300 win mag . and after i fire 5 or 6 shots its gets hot really hot. i was woundering if that would be why i am not grouping very well on the target. and is thir anything i can do to keep it from getting so hot.?

    If your gun has a stainless steel barrel it will heat up faster than a non-s.s. As stated by others, bring other guns and alternate shooting to give your guns a chance to cool down.
