The lead on a softpoint is oxidizing. What can I do to stop the oxidizing? If I shoot with it, will it damage the rifle?

To bad there is no answer... I shoot POURE LEAD Mini-Balls for mt 1855 and when I make them with my casting machine I crank them out... It takes a while to go through them and I would like to not have them oxidize... I was thinking a gallon od WD-40 with a quart of motor oil and dip them all... and see if the coating protects them in the long term...
