I was in NJ earlier this week and those I talked with about this didn't seem that concerned. I guess they are comfortable with complying with whatever gun laws are passed and have decided to do whatever to stay legal.

I guess they didn't learn from other states that have record numbers of non-compliance. Just turning law abiding citizens into criminals. If I was Gary, I'd keep it between me and Jesus.

"Yeah!? Well, we're going to do it different!" ...then the insanity of repeating the same actions, expecting a different outcome begin...AGAIN!

As I see it, that is not much different than being an anti !

Actually, just between us girls, it is not an unbearable sacrifice to use only low-capacity magazines.
Target shooting at the range, I usually load only ten rounds per string.
Glock is advertising 10-round mags for their pistols at $29.
Truth be told, our lives don't depend on those extra few rounds in a magazine.
It's just a matter of principle.
We can holler like hell, and we should!

The compliance rate would vary from state to state, and would probably be highest in states that are already heavily burdened with regulations.

I think a user stated earlier, that California had the worst gun laws in the nation.
I believe now, New Jersey is number one. ?
Back in the early nineties, another Liberal Governor Jim Florio and both liberal NJ legislative houses banned semi autos.
Like the Mac10, AK-47, Tech 9, the Uzi and many other semi autos.
They asked every gun owner to hand them over to law enforcement. There was total non compliance statewide. The Sportsmen in so many words, told the liberals to go to hell.
If they banned guns, knives, microwave ovens, large auto box vans, slippery bathtubs, baseball bats or pipe wrenchs without any monetary compensation, would you turn it over for free? Because a few liberals want to impress their constituents.

A shooting instructor once said that if any of us expect to be engaged in an extended shoot-out, we should carry an extra gun (the New York reload).

Big G, I don't think you have any semi autos, but I'd wager you have friends that do.
                        What are their plans?
                        Do you know?
                        Midnight drive to Canton, Ohio?

I do feel bad for New Jerseyites, but they let it happen.

It ain't about "need", it's about the "right" to possess whatever size mag I wish.

The question before the house is how to deal with the prohibition, and not whether we approve of it.
