The guns of big MO. When she fires all guns in a salvo it pushes the battleship sideways about 20'

One shot used a column of powder 9' long X 18" in diameter. That is a lot of 4831. I heard that is how Hodgdon got started, by buying drums of surplus 4831 and repackaging it.

I use 4831 in my 338 win and 300 win loads. Works for me.

You can get a perspective of the guns size by seeing a 5'9" woman next to them...

But will it kill a whitetail at 400-1000 yards? And is it better than my .270? How about coyotes? Will it have the same POI with 2000lb and 2200lb shells? What scope would you recommend? ... And when I am caught for hunting without a license, how should I pay the fine?

Just trying to add some humor (you know... my usual disclaimer)

SSS, The big MO shot a bomber out of the sky with one 16" gun. Not bad for 1940's technology.

Remember when big MO responded to our Marine barracks being bombed in Lebanon, 1983 ? Normal Atlantic crossing was about 5 days - Reagan wanted it there faster and she made it in a little over 3 days.
