what scope do you find to be the most reliable in the field

I like to use Leupold. I have one on a .22-.250, .30-06, and my 7mm mag, and I have never had any problems with any of them. You can find them for around $200, so it's not real hard on your wallet.

Leupold is the best that I have found. I now use them on all of my guns. Value for your money can't be beat. They withstand alot of abuse and never have a problem. Plus if there is ever an issue with one it has a full lifetime warranty. Also they are an American company.

I have found that Zeiss and Swarovski are the best period but very expensive. Nikon and Leupold are very good and very dependable.

Vortex is also a brand that punches above its weight class.

Playing around budget glass, Konus is very good as well, but I just feel the picture isn't as bright.
