The new Leupold Golden Ring switch powers are hard to beat 10/17x42mm are the most powerful ones they have. You can scan an area at the 10 power setting for a better field of view and when you want a better look at an animal you can flip the power setting to 17 without refocusing. A little pricey but well worth it.

I also like Bushnell but think the Bash & Lomb series are better.

I haven't used Swaravski but have been pleased with Nikon.

What power are you looking for? I like Nikon as well as Bausch & Lomb for lower cost glass...

Swarvoski, or Zeiss will never let you down but you will pay a premium
Leopold and Nikon are good quality working glass
                      Bushnell has really been improving.
