I guess brass is no problem to come by?

Every year I take our unwanted once fired range time brass to a pal who reloads. Nope, does'nt want it. It's also why I went by the 2 gun shops yesterday. Not interested. Keep in mind this brass is free and I'm delivering to boot.
Started sorting and said heck with it I'll just pitch it. In the 1st box (there are 3) I have

Two summers ago an old timer at the range asked if I reload. Then he gave me a 2/3 full 55 gallon bucket with assorted brass he'd accumulated over time. The best treasures were the over 200 45-70 cases, 100 were sealed in a plastic bag, never fired.

Dewman, check with recycler. My local scrap metal buyer is paying $1.45 per pound for brass shell casings.

Was this new factory brass you fired ? If so, he is crazy not to take it. If it was range pick up, that is a different story and you can't know how many times it was fired - not as valuable and I seldom take it.

Every round was factory new, fired by me or someone with me. I don't pick up range brass ever. The Conservation Dept polices and grooms the ranges.

Nobody wants the brass.....because primers are too expensive
