  • Rangefinder questions

Anyone here used the rangefinder for golf and hunting both. Actually I'm looking something that I can use for both purposes because of money matter.
    Thanks

Yes but there is a caveat here.
Golf rangefinders focus on the close and try to block out the far.
Hunting rangefinders work in reverse by typically blocking out the close and searching out the farther away.
There are models that do both but they cost more than a simpler version of each kind put together. Do some research. It can be done but know what you are getting and exactly how it works.

Golf rangefinders are set to focus on what is most desirable to a golfer, that being the flagstick on the green. When that is located by the user, it will indicate the yardage (depending on the quality of the rangefinder) to within 1 yard ! In a woods situation for hunting, I have no idea how that same principal would work with all the trees in the picture. I am only familiar with the golf course issue !
