  • Tip of the week; Never set up trail camera facing the sun rise or the sun set. Big Mistake.

I lost most of my bear photos because of the sun shinning into my trail cam.
Notice the time under the attached photo 9:22 am and the photo is dark.
I took iPhone photos of this same bear and it was pretty bright out.

I learned that one back when trail cameras still used film. I wish I'd had a hint before I made a fish pond that ran east and west---dang little shade on the pond except short periods at each end of the day.

Interesting special effect, though. Some photographers work hard to get that just for something different---sort of the difference between art and information. I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas---and good hunting. Oops, almost forgot---MC to the cats, too. They should enjoy the boxes and the wrappings.

Country Road, In response to your reply posted below, my two house cats love sleeping in cardboard boxes.
My wife buys them a nice bed and they sleep in a box. I can't figure them out. ?
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.
