i inherited a remington model 1858 civil war revolver, when my grandfather passed away. it still fires,i was just wondering if anyone knew what it was worth

Personally I would not sell it. It is something to remember your grandfather by and if you dont want it give it to your children when they come of age.

the barrel is an octagon 6'' barrel. it was made by Remington, and the serial number is kinda beat up, and you cant really tell what the numbers are. i did'nt plan on selling it i was just wondering if it was worth anything.
