The answer to your question, pineywoods, is that the sound is coming from the engine of the 4 Wheeler I believe. What does that mean?

I'm not a mechanic and don't know what kind of sound you are hearing, but I'd venture to say that somewhere in the engine, something is rubbing up against something it shouldn't. Something is wearing out. Also, it could be in the air intake. Check your oil for metal particles. Check all fastenings in the hope that it is as simple as something that has vibrated loose (exhaust leaks?). I think I'd get it to a good mechanic before the season starts and you find yourself stranded on the pointy end of nowhere. Good luck and I hope it's not an expensive sound.
