    I would get a medium weight bag and then purchase a seperate flannel liner.

    A warm sleeping bag on a cold night is a must. Unfortunately, short of leaving the zipper open, that cold weather bag can be too much for the warmer evenings. If you are in a tent that can keep the mosquitos and black flies at bay opening that warm bag's zipper will allow the bag to perform double duties. Otherwise, the bugs at that time of year would make for one uncomfortable night as any bare flesh is a meal waiting.
