I'm looking for a spotting scope that will be used the majority of the time on the range sighting in at 200 - 300 yards. Any suggestions without breaking the bank?

Johnnie is dead-on. You GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I'm not telling you to break the bank w/a Leica or Swarovski[unless you're in that income level-in which case,I'd imagine you'd have someone viewing, stalking, shooting and processing your quarry via remote control from your Bat Cave]however, brands such as Minox,Alpen,Burris and those of that echelon/price tag produce some truly stunning optics for the price IMO.
