The day before the deer season opened my two pals decided to camp near our hunting property,I declined due to work schedule. That night the temp dropped ,the wind whistled, and rain hammered my windshield with the wipers on high as I drove up to their badly damaged tent. It was still early and dark, and I had stopped at a roadside cafe to fill a couple coffee thermos I figured they could use.lol,I still hafta laugh thinking about the expression on their faces.Well after they told me what all they had been through over and over,I just couldn't, resist pulling their legs a little. I made the announcement the Governor of Kentucky had declared deer season closed for that weekend. Oh boy ,I could hardly hold it in,so I told them ,yep it's closed all right for at least a week to allow enough time for all the Indiana deer that had been swept here to get back home from where they had been blown. We all laughed and had a pretty good hunt after all .
