During the 2011 deer season, there was a full moon. The amount of deer that we saw during those few days decreased greatly. Does the light given off by the moon during its full phase effect the deers feeding pattern? If so, where can we find the deer during this time? Thanks, Hunter Girl 1

It is my experience that deer move more at night than day during the full moon. I always get more night pics on my camara's during this faze and less daytime activity. I have also had great success hunting during the full moon as a result. I like to find where they are feeding and bedding and then I set up on a trail between the two points in late morning early afternoon. I never had any success in the early hours or late afternoon during the full moon. Late morning / early afternoon is also when most hunters go home for lunch so your more likely to get a shot on a deer that has been kicked off bed by an unsuspecting hunter going home for lunch.
