    in the salmon river they will hit just about anything pink and stonefly nymphs are killer stop into salmon river sports theyll tell you the report and what to use

      A few very effective flies that I uses all year round are purple spey flies, black or purple wooly buggers, and small egg flies. I caught my personal best steelie on July 31 in Michigan. It was an 18+ pound skamania, on purple spey fly.
