Nc's right. Summer time, early and late in the day are my best times.

If you are wanting to use topwater now then you are in luck! Spring and summer are the best times for it because the water is warmer and the fish are feistier (or is it more feisty?). In the winter fish are more sluggish and therefore want to save their energy. In the summer they will chase stuff more and they will investigate your topwater plug with more interest. Good Luck!
