I am a girl who loves to fish. The problem is that I never have anyone to fish with because all of my friends don't like fishing. What is it that makes teen girls dislike fishing? Is it the fact that dads usually take sons fishing instead of daughters? or is it just something about girls that makes them naturally dislike fishing?

My best answer is the fact that some girls don't like the way the fish feel when are taking them off the hook or they think it is cruel to the fish when they get a hook in there mouth truth is fish can't feel pain they lack a neocortex. -
ALL my buddies thought i was a lucky man because i have a wife that loves to fish, then they all thought i was a lucky man because my daughter fished with me to .NOW i know i'm a lucky man because now my grand daughter can't wait to take me fishing, follow youre heart young lady it's a big world and time is short . god luck fishingComment

You are right on a couple of things, yes most dads take their sons and not their daughter, is it right no. Most girls that I know don't like it becuase the fish are slimy and they stink, and lord help me if they have to bait their own hook. Most women view fishing as a man thing like hunting. Ask you dad to go with you or ask some of your guy friends to go, I bet some of them would be more than happy to go with you. Good luck and keep us posted!Comment

it all depends on upbringing- i know a girl in a nearby town that is about my age, hunts, fishes, traps, & is like the grandson her grandpaw always wanted, & ya im shure you could find some guys to go with you, i have a friend loves to fish to & shes been ranked top in the county several times.Comment
