I evaluated fluorocarbon line and leaders. Same manufacturer, same model, and same strength. Per yard the leader was 4 times more expensive than the line. Is there a difference?

-There will not be any difference in the quality of the fluorocarbon fishing line and a fluorocarbon leader.
-I am going to assume that the leaders are more expensive because they will come with snaps and swivels on each end and come pre-cut to a certain length.
-If you are looking to save some money you could make your own leaders out of regular fishing line. You will just have to buy some supplies and learn the correct knots.
