How can I catch an Asian carp?What should I use?What type of rod and reel?

I cannot remember the brand but recent I took some dry dog food that was soft pellets. It threded on #6 hooks with ease and floats. Regular old European carp loved it. I Caght so many I was tired in 2 hours. I'm betting Asia will take it also. While they are filter feeders I'm betting anything that large will take crawlers, crayfish, monnows etc.. The basic problem is fish are often smarter than the people who persue them. They have very good sense of smell and often won't touch something that smells out of place. That's why tossing a crawler out on a weighted line and letting sit works. It takes a while for your scent to wash off and the crwler to pick up scent from the water. Wash hand with Dawn dishwashing soap and then catch and handle several 'gills to get yourself smelling fishy. Bass on the otherhand are just plain aggressive and until they have been stung a couple times by hooks they just attack. -

well i cought an asian carp with bread and a sinker in 74 degree weather not a cloud in the sky i had to use a net to put it on land so that is howyou catch a carp.Comment

ramsker the carp you're thinking of is black carp not a grass carp ... grass carp are not asian the three species of asian carp are black sliver and big headComment
